A tall black server rack, its rows of green lights blinking, stands in a corner that two patterns are taking over: red dots on the left, a pale grey net on the right. The net is already creeping on to the rack. Kusama painted her infinity nets loop by loop for hours without stopping, as a way of holding on. The server does the same, without stopping, for everyone.

A tall server rack dissolving into an all-over white net pattern on pale grey, tiny blinking dots of green. Contemporary painting of obsessive repeated dots and nets, dense polka dots in graduated sizes covering every surface, red on white, yellow on black, undulating net patterns, hallucinatory flatness, the object dissolving into pattern, thick even acrylic with hand-painted irregularity. Museum photograph of the acrylic painting, flat even lighting, no frame, no text, no wall, no floor, cropped to the canvas edge.
