A sharp yellow wedge drives into a big calm blue circle, and a spray of short black lines bursts from the point of impact like a startled sound. Everything else, a red sun, a black moon, small triangles, holds its breath. Kandinsky heard yellow as a trumpet and deep blue as an organ. This is the trumpet interrupting the organ at dinner, face up on the table.
