Mist lies on the stream, the sun is a pink coin, and the solar panels step back into the haze like a row of wet slates. The wildflowers in front take all the colour the morning has. Monet painted the same haystacks in every light, and the same poplars along the same river. Solar panels are the haystacks of our fields: they are there to be looked at by the sun.
